Types of Paving and the Best One for Your Patio

When it comes to the beauty of a house, one would always want his house to look different from others. People put a lot of efforts and do researches to know how to make their home unique. They think about thousands of ideas to do so, talk to people and even visit their known people to get ideas. If you have a well built home and you don’t know what to do with your front yard then you are at the right place, reading this article will lead you to the answer. However, a decking in front of the house would definitely make it unique. Now, you must be asking yourself what is decking. Let’s discuss this first; in architecture, decking is something that is made as a wooden platform generally elevated from the ground which gets connected to a building.

Deck as a term here has been picked from ship’s deck. A deck in front of the house can be used for sitting purposes like in summers. But today, these decks are replaced by patios. Living in Leicester has always been classy, so why not to make a classy patio in front of your home. In this piece of writing, we will be discussing about different types of patio paving that would make your home different from others.

Stone Paving: Stone is largely used to make walkways, driveways and patios. The most common to use stones are slate, marble and flagstone. You can get them cut in shapes or if you leave them on their on without giving any shape, that would also be a great idea. These are strong and durable, probably three times stronger than concrete, can bare extreme weather conditions and the chances of damage or cracks are less. They are available in different sizes, shapes and colors.

Rubber Tile Paving: Rubber tiles are also used for patio paving as rubber is a long lasting material, cheap and easily available in comparison to other materials. It is getting popular because it looks like concrete and very light in weight. It can be used for both indoor and outdoor purposes; children can play on that as the risk of getting injured is very low here as it is soft. It is eco-friendly and made with recycled rubber for example waste rubber from used vehicle tyres and is available in unlimited color combinations.

Brick Paving: Brick is the most popular patio paving material as it is the traditional way of paving. Bricks also come in different shapes, sizes and colors but red bricks fit perfect for patio paving. Bricks are more considered because it is easier to make creative and unique pattern designs on the surface which looks pretty beautiful. Brick paving is easy to install and once done it is ready to use, it is easy to clean with the help of scrubbing brush, and home based detergent and water. It is a non-slippery material opposing marble.

Having a big home with a beautiful patio is everyone’s dream but only the potential of our creative imagination that generates ideas can make it beautiful and unique. My personal recommendation is stone based patio paving, however the ultimate choice is off course yours.
